This week we take a few adventures with Eddie Murphy & Chuck Norris to the dark side.. That's right a little something different for this week. We review The Golden Child (1986) where Eddie Murphy is tasked with rescuing a child from Tibet from demonic forces that want to rule the world. Then we watched Hellbound (1994) about Chuck Norris who plays FRANK SHATTER (echo) who tracks down an ancient evil with his trusty sidekick Calvin Jackson. Together can they save the world? Together can these actors save the podcast??? Good question. Plus, we talk about a new show that is out on Travel Channel called Vampires in America that is a bit concerning. JOIN US!

It's the final episode of our FOLK OFF Special! You guys picked we watched and reviewed both movies. The Wicker Man (1973) & A Dark Song (2016). Both on Shudder's Folk Horror Section. We start with The Wicker Man that undoubtedly inspired Midsommar to some degree. About a virgin police officer who goes to an island in search of a missing child. He starts to realize the people around him have some very strange customs. Then we dive into a indie film that is from recent times called A Dark Song. About a woman who hires a man to perform an ancient ritual to get what they want. Only things turn pretty quickly into the supernatural very quickly. We discuss both this week and provide loads of trivia and our special brand of banter. JOIN US!
This week starts our 2 week FOLK OFF Special! What's that? Well it's Folk Horror movies from around the globe! Next week we let you guys pick from Shudders "FOLK HORROR" section. So don't forget to let us know your picks. This week however we watched one film from OZ called Alison's Birthday (1981) & Eyes of Fire (1983) from Kentucky? Yep! Two films that summon the old ones to do dirty on a few folks. One of these films we enjoyed more than the other, but we review both and talk about what we think of it's messaging. JOIN US!
We had our fill of new movies this past week so we figured lets dive into some practically homemade films in the 80s! As you know Alex loves going back here often. This week we watch and review The Strangeness (1985) about a creature in a cave that eats people. When will people learn to leave caves and tentacles beasts in them alone?! Then we dive into THERES NOTHING OUT THERE! (1991) about a group of kids who visits a cabin in the summer and people start dying one by one to another creature? Maybe if they listened to their knowledgeable horror fan they brought. He seems to know what to do and not do in this situation. Find out what we thought of these movies and some of the trivia on both of them! JOIN US!
It's the Holidays! So we picked a couple of cheery horror holidays flicks for you guys to watch! We kick it off with TO ALL A GOODNIGHT (1980) that's currently on Shudder now. A Santa slasher that a lot of people may have missed from back in the day. Santa is set loose on a school of girls and their boyfriends in this movie. Then we watched a holiday horror anthology called 13 Slays Till X-Mas (2020). This big anthology might not have the budget but it is packed to the brim with horror holiday segments that will tickle your holiday murder spirit. We tell you our thoughts on the anthology and then pick our top 4 picks each in the spoiler section. It's our last week before we go on a break for almost a month! So be sure to tune in and check this one out.
Woof! This week on the show Christina and Alex talk about murderous dogs. Some cyborg some just cat haters. That's right this week is chock full of pups with blood on their fluffy coats. We review MANS BEST FRIEND (1993) about a genetically engineered dog that a reporter finds in a lab that she is doing an exposé on. It's a Tibetan Mastiff named Max that can climb trees, eat people and swallow cats whole. All while
Lance Henriksen yells at everyone. Then we review ROTTWEILER (2004) a Brian Yuzna film that not many have seen. Including ourselves. About a man who has so many flashbacks they imprison him and he dreams about a cyborg spirit dog that shares his soul and eats people with it's metal jaws. Or something like that. It really doesn't make a whole heck of a lot of sense. But listening to us break it down will probably make you want to watch it. So Join us and our own dog Murray as we bark our way through this one.
