This week on Beyond The Void Horror Podcast.. Christina Returns for one of our favorite movie weeks we've had in a while. This week we decided to skip the theater and dive into the early access expensive rentals for new movies in theaters at home. We review The Cursed (2021) a period piece about a beast that is killing off people back in 1890. Then we review the new FOO FIGHTERS horror movie?! Yep, STUDIO 666 (2022) about the Foo Fighters creating their 10th album and lead singer / frontman Dave Grohl gets possessed to kill them all. What kind of horror hosts would we be if we didn't go back to the old days?! Last week we spun the Wheel of Horror to pick a Hammer Horror Film called The Old Dark House (1963) a comedy horror movie from the studio! Then we asked you guys to pick a 2nd film to watch in a poll. Which it was tight but you guys picked The Curse of the Werewolf (1961) about the origins of a Werewolf! Boy is it messed up. We did it... We finally finished the Howling Franchise! You savages! Back by unpopular demand. We bring you Howling New Moon Rising & Howling Reborn. The final 2 nails in the Howling franchise coffin for us. If you have been wondering what the sound of 2 human beings childhoods being set on fire sounds like . Feel free to tune into our detailing of both these movies. Howling 7 may have caused an aneurysm for at least one of us. You won't want to miss hearing our displeasure. Check it out!
We return to the Howling Franchise to devour these movies one by one. It's been a bumpy shakey road of up and down films so far. We kick things off in order with Howling v The Rebirth where it takes us back to Budapest Hungary for some good ol' fashion Castle werewolves. Then take on the more unique film Howling VI The Freaks. Where a freak show adopts a strange new freak into it's menagerie of oddities but there’s a new creature lurking in the dark. A purple one... and it ain't Barney. Since our recent #Graveplots horror movie we made up we figured let's watch some werewolf movies. What better series to start with than The Howling (1981) & Howling 2: Your Sisters A Werewolf (1985). 2 completely different tones from one another but were both extremely enjoyable. One of them though.. oh boy... It's a doozy of a film. Makes you wonder how the franchise got so popular. We also take a new #horrorshot to wash down the after taste of these movies. So buckle up.
