Welcome back to the BTVcast with Ep49 “Thank You Romero”! If you have not listened to Part 1 yet, you can listen to it Here!

This Monday we say thank you to George A. Romero by talking about him and 2 of our favorite movies that he has done. 'Night of the Living Dead' and 'Dawn of the Dead'. We talk about how humble Romero was and how he barely took credit for any of his work on the movies till his sad passing. It's a sad, emotional but fun episode to honor a horror legend. If you loved him as much as us we think you will appreciate the love we give him in this episode.

LISTEN HERE!

We talk about Night of the Living Dead and all the crazy circumstance that made the film exist in the first place. Kind of the perfect storm socially, politically and financially. It's coming to existence is one that could not be duplicated. We delve into a lot of factors and miss happenings about this perfect storm.

Then we jump into the future 10 years later for one of the movies that rocketed many peoples careers. None other than Dawn of the Dead. We talk about the continuing of social commentaries in these movies such as Consumerism, feminism and more. We discuss the differences between the two movies and talk about which is our favorite. Then we get a little sad while saying goodbye to George.

So grab your blue face paint, don't forget your helicopter and be sure to grab your favorite Cement Trowel as we travel Beyond The Void!
