It's time to jump into some French Horror of the Extreme variety and compare it to its United States Remake. The Court is in session for Martyrs (2008) v. Martyrs (2015). Though the movie was filmed in Canada the first film is considered a French film that has taken the film industry by storm when it released for being shocking and hard to watch. About a girl named Lucie who escapes her torturing kidnappers and exacts her revenge on the those who tormented her as a child with a friend that is willing to got to hell for her. It's a rough film for some, but we actually break it all down and Alex gets deep into the metaphors that the film might have within its depravity. Then we take on the US remake/re imagining that was one of the earlier films of Blumhouse and subsequently one of Jason Blum’s biggest regrets on film. See what we thought of both and why. In this glorious showdown! JOIN US!

Another faux documentary very much in the same vein as The Last Broadcast about thousands of torture tapes they find belonging to one of the most prolific serial killers of all time in the 90's. The end of this one may piss you off or just surprise you. We talk about both of these movies this week and why Christina is none too happy about it. JOIN US!
