George Romero's Wife Teases Filmmaker Left Behind More Than 40 Scripts
"We have a film that he shot in 1973 that most people haven't seen. A handful of people have seen this film," Desrocher admitted. "We're gonna restore it, and we're gonna show it to Romero cinephiles. It's a scary movie, but it's not a horror movie, and it's about ageism. Anyway, he has a cameo in it, and it'll be fun. And we'll show the movie, or get it distributed. It'll be a project that the foundation's gonna do. I think it's the first project we're gonna do actually.

Troll 2 star George Hardy is an aging lawman in Texas Cotton sneak peek
“It was a three-week shoot for me,” Hardy told EW in 2010. “I would kind of alternate days of going into my dental practice and then going out and shooting on this set, and meeting all these Italians, very few of them spoke English. Michael and myself would sit over in the corner and try to decipher it. The way it was written was not the way Americans speak. One of us would say, ‘Claudio, this is not the way we relate to each other.’ But they would say, ‘No, no, no, this is the way you do it!’ We just did what we were told. How can you argue with someone who doesn’t understand what you’re saying?”

Now, 15 years after the original hit theaters, sources tell us that producers at Contantin Film (who also made the Resident Evil films) are deep into development on a new incarnation of the series, quite possibly a remake (there’s no indication that this is a direct-to-VOD sequel). We’ve also heard that Mike P. Nelson, who directed the awesome post-apocalyptic The Domestics for Orion, is set to direct.

Given that Curtis is an actress who makes a living by pretending to be things that she isn't in reality, social media had a field day by mocking the outlet with other instances of her on-screen characters not reflecting who she really is as a person as well as other famous actors.

Horror at the Box-Office
As predicted in last week’s edition, Venom is staying strong at the top of the box-office by roughly $7 million dollars! A very impressive feat in this day and age but considering this is technically a Marvel film, it’s not a massive shocker.
This Friday however, horror comes home after 40 years. Because no sequels, remakes or timelines have come out since 1978…. Or at least they want us to pretend this was the case. I am personally excited to check this one out, although I will be a week or so behind most people due to time constraints.
Everything I’ve heard thus far from those whom have been lucky enough to see early screenings of the film have stated that it is excellent and worth going to see for yourselves.

When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.
Hanukkah
After years in development, Eben McGarr finally got in the director’s chair for the holiday-themed slasher Hanukkah, which now has a trailer. From My Way Pictures, the indie stars Sid Haig as Judah Lazarus, Caroline Williams as Ana Lazarus and P.J. Soles as Mrs. Horowitz. McGarr and Chris Ott produce. In the film: “Obediah Lazarus is the son of Judah Lazarus, the original Hanukiller. In 1983, Judah terrorized NY for seven nights and was preparing to sacrifice his eight-year-old son, Obediah, on the eighth night. Judah was convinced it was God’s will, like Abraham and Isaac, to sacrifice his only son to God. Luckily for Obediah, police tracked Judah down and stopped the sacrifice, but Judah was gunned down in the process. Warped by hatred with no guidance, Obediah Lazarus becomes a religious extremist, intolerant of non-Jews, “bad Jews”, and those he perceives to be enemies of the Jewish faith. He is about to unleash eight nights of horror. A group of Jewish teens are getting ready to party for the holidays, but are in for a Festival of Frights. With the help of a wise Rabbi, they deduce that the murder victims have violated Judaic law and that their only chance at survival is to embrace their faith.”
