Chloë Grace Moretz Praises Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Suspiria’ As ‘The Closest to Modern Stanley Kubrick I’ve Ever Seen’
This is a really big statement, but this is the closest to modern Stanley Kubrick I‘ve ever seen,” Moretz said at an event during the Provincetown Film Festival earlier this month. “You’re put into a world, which I can only describe it as being like ‘The Shining’ in a lot of ways, where you’re just encompassed in a filmmaker’s brain and you’re just implanted in there, and there’s nothing like it that you will ever see.”

Resident Evil 2 remake interview: “You won’t ever feel completely safe”
One of those elements was the camera angles. We went through a tremendous amount of discussion about what we wanted to do with that, and it took a long time. These are the kinds of discussions that we took into developing a brand new Resident Evil 2. We wanted to bring something new, but also create something that paid the utmost amount of respect to the original content.

The First Purge
Release: July 4th, 2018
Format: Theatrical
Behind every tradition lies a revolution. Next Independence Day, witness the rise of our country’s 12 hours of annual lawlessness. Welcome to the movement that began as a simple experiment: The First Purge.
To push the crime rate below one percent for the rest of the year, the New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA) test a sociological theory that vents aggression for one night in one isolated community. But when the violence of oppressors meets the rage of the marginalized, the contagion will explode from the trial-city borders and spread across the nation.
Horror At The Box-Office
For the second straight week, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has taken over the box-office by raking in another $60 million dollars domestically while Hereditary is keeping up a very strong fight in 11th place, bringing it's domestic total to just shy of $40 million.
With next week's opening of the latest Purge film, I can see it doing well but highly doubt it will be able to topple Chris Pratt and his dinosaur co-stars but should easily be able to slip into one of the top three spots.

HORROR SHOP OF THE WEEK: MOUTH OF MADNESS
If you’ve been following this column for a while, you’ve heard me talk before about my enamel pin obsession. I’ve already introduced you to a couple of my favorite pin makers and artists. This week, I’m so thrilled to recommend yet another killer shop making some of the best pins in the game: Mouth of Madness.
While I love and support many of the incredibly talented male artists and shop owners, I have a huge soft spot for women-owned shops and my fellow ladies of horror. Perhaps it’s because I know how underrepresented women are in horror and among business owners and entrepreneurs.
The passionate and hardworking ladies inspire me greatly, and it’s an honor to celebrate and support women like Tracy, the owner of Mouth of Madness.
The first thing you should know is that she’s an amazingly wonderful human being — extremely kind, generous, highly supportive of other artists and makers, and so appreciative of her customers. That kind of stuff really matters to me. And, if it matters to you as well, you can definitely feel good about supporting this shop.
Second, she’s a true blue horror fan, which is readily apparent if you check out her shop. There you’ll find a large selection of stunning pins…but not just those from mainstream horror films. What I love are the brilliant pins dedicated to indie, foreign, and cult films that don’t typically much if any love from other pin makers.
You’ll find pins from films like The Hunger, Black Sabbath, Videodrome and Ju-On, alongside pins celebrating films like The Shining, The Omen, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and A Nightmare on Elm Street (just to name a few).
Whereas a lot of shops farm out their design work (not that there’s anything wrong with that), this shop owner is both maker and seller. So every single piece is a labor of love and a true reflection of her passion for the genre. She also happens to be ridiculously talented!
I will also say that the presentation of these pins is second to none. It’s truly an experience opening up packages from Mouth of Madness. Each pin is meticulously and lovingly hand wrapped with lots of extra touches that make each delivery something quite special.
While I know not everyone cares about details like that, for me it really helps convey the passion of the shop owner and how much she truly cares about each and every order. I always feel special when I receive a package from her, and I can truly feel how much heart and soul went into both creating the pins and preparing them to ship to me.
Sadly, I don’t have every pin released by this shop. But I have quite a few of them, and I hope to add more to my collection soon. It is without hesitation that I highly recommend this remarkable shop to fellow pin collectors like myself.
Check out all the great pins over mouthofmadness.bigcartel.com or on Etsy (MouthOfMadnessShop). This shop is also very active on Instagram at @mouth_of_madness_shop.
