Artwork/Extras for New Phantasm 3 and 4 Blu-ray Releases
“We now have a good look at the artwork for Well Go USA's upcoming standalone Blu-ray releases of Phantasm III and Phantasm Oblivion. Both arriving on September 18, this will be the first time these films have been offered on the format outside of last year's sold-out Phantasm box set. Collector's fret not - these releases will pack none of the incredible supplements found exclusively in that box set. Instead, somewhat strangely, they will feature supplements identical to those found on the old Anchor Bay DVD releases. They won't even contain the newer extras included on last year's economically-priced DVD collection. I'm kind of curious to know what Well-Go was thinking with this move? Maybe they weren't thinking. Maybe that's it.”

Dark Crimes
Release: July 31st, 2018
Format: DVD
Two crimes: one real, one fiction. The death of a business man turns into a murder investigation as details in one author's book are found to be very similar to the crime. The lead detective on the case, Jacek, uses the book in hopes that it will help him solve the murder, even going so far as to question the author himself because of the striking similarities between the fictional murder and his case.
Piranha II: the Spawning
Release: July 31st, 2018
Format: Blu-Ray (Scream Factory!)
It may seem like paradise, but just off shore, a new brand of terror has been unleashed ...
While investigating the mysterious death of a diver, scuba instructor Anne Kimbrough (Tricia O'Neil, Are You In The House Alone?) makes a horrific discovery: mutated piranhas, with wings that enable them to fly, are responsible for the death. As the body count rises, Anne desperately tries to convince the manager of the resort to call off the annual fish fry on the beach, but he's determined to give his guests the ultimate feeding frenzy.
Horror At The Box-Office
Although Tom Cruise and his “Mission Impossible” film series has released another sequel and taken over the box-office yet again, Horror is still holding fairly strong in the top ten, but not in the typical sense.
We have “Hotel Transylvania III” a kids movie with your favorite Universal Monsters used as the main characters still thriving fairly well creeping closely to the $300 million dollar mark world wide, “Fallen Kingdom” is still going strong with a total world take of $1.2 billion dollars and last but not least, “The First Purge” is sitting in the tenth spot, likely to fall out of play come next week which has brought in a total of $111 million. As I stated last week, it’s numbers to not sound overly impressive, but with a budget of $13 million, it’s raking in a hell of a lot of cash.
