Netflix set 2019 release for their movie based on one of Stephen King's most disturbing horror stories
Netflix and Stephen King are obviously having a very productive partnership, with the streaming service housing two fantastic adaptations of his works in the last year or so, with both Gerald's Game and 1922 proving to be pretty great chillers.

Peter Jackson Would Be Very Happy to Be Disgusting Again

The #BirdBoxChallenge takes its inspiration from the movies universe, in which a group of people must band together in order to survive against monsters who make people kill themselves when they look at them. STRANGER THINGS SEASON 3 PREMIERE DATE AND FIRST POSTER REVEALED
A summer premiere is fitting for the spooky series, which is set in the summer of 1985 (just in time to ruin Eleven and the rest of the gang's vacation) and has ominously been described in the show's official companion book as "the final summer of their childhood." A lot of the action will likely take place around the new Starcourt Mall opening in Hawkins in the new season, as promised in the first Season 3 teaser trailer.

Chloë Grace Moretz Reteams With Luca Guadagnino For ‘Blood On The Tracks’
Scripted by Richard LaGravanese (The Fisher King, Erin Brockovich), specific plot details are still under wraps, but it appears that the 1970s-set film will have a fictional narrative with characters devised from Guadagnino and LaGravenese, and will be a “multiyear set story.” The script clocks in at 188 pages. “When they’re repressing, we dramatize the repression, and what that does to them,” LaGravenese said, speaking to the album’s themes. “And we dramatize what happens when you let your passions take over too much.”

Remembering CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST Star Robert Kerman (1947-2018)
According to his colleagues, Kerman never considered his work groundbreaking or history-making; he was a hard-working and ambitious performer with an eye on Hollywood success, building up a diverse resume in films that mostly flew under the mainstream radar (though porn’s peak era briefly lent the genre a bit more legitimacy among more permissive audiences), but horror fans never forgot his intense work in Holocaust, as well as his role in Umberto Lenzi’s Cannibal Ferox (a.k.a. Eaten Alive) the following year.

Although Aquaman is tearing it up in the Box-Office at the moment, the big surprise film this past weekend was Escape Room.
With an opening weekend of nearly $18 million dollars against a budget of $9 million, the film has been a massive success and considering I, as someone who is knee deep in horror related news on the daily, personally had barely heard anything about it up until its release is completely shocking.
With a pretty heavy cast including Tyler Labine and Deborah Ann Woll just to name a few, it's not unimaginable that they alone could pull in movie goers thanks to their filmographies both in and outside of the genre.
One of the biggest things I want to point out as well is the IMDB rating of 6.4 (as of this writing) which is high praise when it comes to horror films. For a quick example, both the original Friday the 13th and The Amityville Horror have a 6.5 and a 6.2 rating respectively.
If you get the chance, check this one out, cause I know I will when the opportunity presents itself!
