“This film isn’t one to narratively recognize any of the films other than the original Halloween,” says the director. “But we very much enjoy the other films and there’s a lot of very subtle shout-outs to a number of things that I think the big fans — the people that know the films scientifically — will get a kick out of, hopefully.”

Horror At The Box-Office

012.jpg

For horror in the top ten at the box-office, we have a nice little spread for you of “The First Purge”, “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” and one which some of you may not accept as a horror genre film, but I definitely am thanks to the film being based on all the Universal Monsters of old, “Hotel Transylvania: Summer Vacation” which has taken the top spot over the weekend and I couldn’t be happier about it.

I’m most interested however in how “Unfriended: Dark Web” is going to do as I keep hearing very good things regarding the film which could be a large sack of crap as it something is, but when Blumhouse releases something with some good reviews prior to it’s premiere date it typically becomes an instant success. If this is the case, you can be sure to hear it from us!

Shot-For-Shot Halloween Scare-Raiser

013.jpg

We are a small group of struggling artists ranging in age from 10-60, who have come together to create a short film project based on the 1978 horror classic "Halloween". We made this short film on a ZERO budget and a LOT of hard work! While we cannot profit financially from this production (we don't own the rights), our goal is to showcase the talents of our cast & crew by entering this project in film festivals and horror conventions, hopefully leading to positive recognition of our work!
