[RUMOR] Netflix Is Developing A DIABLO Series With HELLBOY Writer

001.jpg

“The early buzz on the upcoming Hellboy remake is quite positive and, as is often the case when Hollywood hears good things about a relatively unknown talent and seeks to lock them up before their price tag soars to new heights, the writer of the film has apparently been tapped for Diablo. His name is Andrew Cosby, and when I say he’s “relatively unknown,” I mean so only in terms of being a household name. Cosby has been around a while, and even co-founded BOOM! Studios. He’s got an extensive resumé when it comes to adapting movies into comic books, as well as producing movies and TV series, and now he’s been hired to adapt the Diablo games into a TV show for Netflix.”

Chucky in 'Child's Play' Remake Getting Big Changes

“In the original Child's Play, Dourif played a killer who, in his final moments, invoked a voodoo spell that imbued his soul into a kid's doll, allowing him to carry out his murderous desires as he sought a human host body. Early reports of this new film teased that the film would utilize a new twist on the killer dolls motivations, with this character description confirming how far away from that concept this remake will venture.”

“Ubisoft has been going all-out for Far Cry 5‘s DLC add-on packs, which are entirely new mini games unto themselves. First up, “Hours of Darkness” brought the gameplay to Vietnam, and more recently, “Lost on Mars” has allowed you to fight alien monsters in space. Available today, “Dead Living Zombies” turns Far Cry 5 into a full-on zombie-killing game!”

The studio also announced a release date for the sequel to A Quiet Place, which is set to open May 15, 2020. John Krasinski, who directed the original, is writing the follow-up. While there isn't a deal in place yet, Krasinski is expected to helm the sequel as well.

Earlier this year, Krasinski's horror pic turned into a box-office sensation, grossing $332.6 million at the global box office to become one of the most successful original films in recent times. In addition to directing, Krasinski starred opposite Emily Blunt, his real-life wife, in the pic.

Suspiria’ Premieres to Eight-Minute Standing Ovation at Venice

“Luca Guadagnino’s highly anticipated remake of “Suspiria” bowed at Venice Film Festival Saturday at the Sala Grande Venezia, where it received an eight-minute standing ovation and no boos, contrary to the morning press screening.

The ovation may not necessarily be indicative of “Suspiria’s” true reception — film premieres are traditionally met with a standing ovation as a courtesy to the filmmakers present. Although he has an ambivalent relationship with Italy, Guadagnino was welcomed on the red carpet by fans chanting “Luca, Luca!”
